Sebastiaan Bedaux (°1981) is a freelance travel writer and photographer with a deep passion for storytelling through words and images. His work regularly appears in publications such as National Geographic Traveler, Knack Weekend and Libelle, where he captures the essence of destinations through authentic encounters and vivid narratives.
Over the years, he has explored cultures, landscapes, and lives across the globe — always seeking the stories that reveal the human side of travel. His photography complements his writing, offering a visual perspective that immerses readers in the places he visits.
Sebastiaan is the author of four coffee table books (Lannoo Publishing): a trilogy on vacation homes in the mountains, by the sea and in nature, and one (WISH I WAS HERE) on the world’s most extraordinary places near, on or under water. He also teaches travel writing at the National Geographic Masterclass in Amsterdam.
